We are very excited to now offer our patients, Therapeutic Ultrasound treatment.

Jade, our wonderful physiotherapist explains how the treatment works and some of the conditions that would benefit from this specialist Ultrasound.

“At some point during a pet’s life, they may need treatment to help conditions affecting injured tendons, ligaments and muscle tissue. Therapeutic ultrasound aims to stimulate tissue regeneration by increasing circulation, reducing inflammation, reducing the formation of fibrotic (scar) tissue and activating the realignment collagen (muscle) fibres. Therapeutic ultrasound is most frequently used to treat conditions such as tenosynovitis (inflammation of tendon sheath), tendonitis (inflammation of the tendon), fibrotic myopathy (scar tissue formation within a muscle) and muscular hypertonicity (spasm).”
